We design and build every Get Marketing Online site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard — and we hold our own site to the same bar.
What we're aiming for
Every page on this website should be usable by someone navigating with a keyboard alone, by someone relying on a screen reader, by someone with low vision using a magnifier, or by someone with reduced motion preferences.
Specifically we try to:
- Keep colour contrast above 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for headings.
- Provide alternative text for meaningful images, and empty alt text for decorative ones.
- Use real semantic HTML (landmarks, lists, headings) rather than divs.
- Offer a visible keyboard focus ring on every interactive element.
- Respect
prefers-reduced-motionfor anyone who wants fewer animations. - Honour browser zoom up to 200% without content being hidden or clipped.
Known limitations
Some third-party widgets we embed (Google Tag Manager iframe fallback, any future Calendly embed, third-party review widgets) aren't directly under our control. Where those fall short of WCAG 2.1 AA, we flag them here as we find them.
The scroll-driven text marquee in the hero and footer of this site is decorative and is automatically paused for visitors with prefers-reduced-motion: reduce set in their operating system or browser.
